Nowadays, we go by New Words, but we were once Fábrica das Palavras.
We all know the world is ever-changing, and from where we’re standing, that couldn’t be more true. This change in particular was made as part of our growth as a company, as we set our sights on working with more markets overseas.
Our new name, “New Words”, allows us to go further and communicate more easily with non-Portuguese-speaking customers. Our former Portuguese name, which (we have to say) we were sad to say goodbye to, limited us to working locally, conveying the idea that we worked exclusively within Portugal.
Why “New Words”?
We soon realized that the name “Fábrica das Palavras” worked well: it was memorable and immediately let people know what we were about.
When we decided to change our name and image, we knew we faced a huge challenge to live up to what we had had before.
A very long brainstorming session later, and we had finally decided on “New Words”. “New” because it’s our new image and signifies our new positioning and strategy. “Words” because words are what we do.
The importance of a company name
A company name is filled with meaning, allowing a company to be identified and told apart from others. It is the first message shared with customers, so it must be just right.
“New Words” is our new name, bringing with it a new image and brand. But not everything has changed: our professionalism, diligence, and the quality of our services are as high as ever. Come and see for yourself!
